Highlights of the concert followed with the well-known
personality Gillian Elisa, a native of Wales, who we were most fortunate to
engage in her busy schedule, narrating the story of Peter and the Wolf by
Prokofiev, combined with the orchestra illustrations of the texts.
Her performance was polished and impeccable and gave vent to
the most varied vocal tones which involved the diverse characters of the piece.
It was a triumph of the difficult co-ordination between herself and the
accompanying musicians.
